HINES | T3 JUNCTION

For the brand-new T3 Junction building in Toronto, Hines partnered with Somewherelse to curate a collection of artworks that celebrate the neighbourhood’s rich history in arts and culture. With a focus on artists who have strong ties to the community, the project features twelve permanent installations, ranging from murals to sculptural works, seamlessly integrating art into the building’s environment.

KOLAB PROJECT | KIND WINTER FAIR

Kolab Project, one of Canada’s leading cannabis brands, partnered with Somewherelse to create a cutting-edge interactive activation for the KIND Winter Fair, a premier cannabis industry and consumer event. Somewherelse designed a large-scale interactive art installation, where guests could use an iPad to control the visuals on a central cube and manipulate lasers throughout the venue. The result was a fully immersive, ever-changing experience that blended technology, art, and cannabis culture.

SOMEWHERELSE PRESENTS | UNITED NATIONS: A PIECE OF ME

A Piece of Me exhibition was an immersive experience to elevate a short documentary series by international filmmaker Sara Elgamal as commissioned by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). After debuting in Toronto, the film and exhibit experience traveled to London, and New York and served as a key piece of their global campaign to raise awareness and end the practice of female genital mutilation (FGM) and took home a Shorty Award in 2020 for Best Global Campaign. A Piece of Me is a stunning short documentary series directed by Sara Elgamel and produced by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), profiling the strength and resilience of survivors of female genital mutilation (FGM) in Afar, Ethiopia.

CIBC SQUARE enlisted Somewherelse to create an innovative and impactful experience for their office building in the heart of Toronto. Somewherelse created a LED art installation designed to support Circadian Rhythm, acting as a large-scale SAD lamp to enhance well-being in the workplace. The sculpture changes throughout the day in tune with the sunrise and sunset.

POINT BLANK | UNFAIR CANADA

Point Blank partnered with Somewherelse to bring Unfair Canada to life, a project highlighting the unfair working conditions faced by Air Canada flight attendants. Somewherelse designed and built an immersive & educational pop-up experience with educational information and even created an artificial airplane, envisioning a future with Air Canada’s “new and improved” features will begin to resemble that of a subway train. The pop-up was across Canada and was activated in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver for visitors to experience.

SOMEWHERELSE PRESENTS | ESCAPE: PRIYANKA'S ICONIC WONDERLAND

ESCAPE: Priyanka's Iconic Wonderland is a fantastical costume ball celebrating the music, art and fashion communities in Toronto. In 2023 we received the Reconnect Ontario grant that provides support for festivals and events with a tourism economic impact to motivate visitors to rediscover Ontario, reconnect people with local experiences, and increase tourism spending. We collaborated with Priyanka, our artist client to create Feeld Presents: ESCAPE: Priyanka’s Iconic Wonderland, a fantastical costume ball. RiVerse kicked off the performances, followed by a special collaborative performance from Priyanka, Fefe Dobson, and Ralph. Phillippe and Nino Brown DJ’d.

FEELD | DYKE ISLAND

FEELD has collaborated with Somewherelse on multiple cultural and promotional events, bringing bold and inclusive experiences to life. One of our favorite projects was DYKE ISLAND, where we charted over 100 guests from Brooklyn to Cherry Island, New York, for an unforgettable summer escape. The day featured a morning mimosa meet-up at The Bush Bar, a high-energy drag show at Cherry Grove Hotel, and a vibrant pop-up on the beach. Somewherelse handled all production and logistics, ensuring a seamless and immersive experience.

TIFF | TIFF FESTIVAL STREET

As part of the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival, we were responsible for co-production of Festival Street and the Red Carpet Experience at David Pecaut Square. We also produced the ‘Mirror Moment’ on Festival Street, an installation created to celebrate one of cinema’s greatest devices: the mirror. Attendees of Festival Street were invited to walk through the installation and capture their own moments.

The event brought together over 2800 leaders in tech to discuss important topics that affect the tech industry such as the value of inclusivity and diversity and underrepresented groups in the sector.

In March 2024 we produced the inaugural Mariana Tek Summit in Los Angeles. The event was designed to celebrate user success, build connections, and provide meaningful insights to business owners. The day included 3 panels that touched on industry trends, the blueprint for boutique fitness brands and gamification. The day concluded with an important keynote from Julius Thomas, Founder of Master Development, ex-NFL player turned Professor of Neuroscience who spoke to the power and benefits of Motivation for business and community.

THE MINT AGENCY | CNCPT x YOUTUBE

The Mint Agency partnered with Somewherelse to develop the Creative Direction and Production Design for an exclusive influencer event celebrating the launch of YouTube’s creator incubator program, CNCPT. Designed to reflect the evolution of the creative process, the space underwent three dramatic transformations throughout the event. An interactive TV monitor installation added a dynamic layer to the experience, capturing attendees in real time for an engaging and shareable photo moment.

For nearly a decade, Red Bull has trusted Somewherelse to produce over 70 events as part of the brand’s music and culture programming. The partnership also brings to life the Red Bull Block Party, a highly anticipated summer pop-up. SPOTIFY | I'M WITH THE BANNED

As a response to President Trump’s travel ban on Muslim countries, Spotify launched a program enabling collaborations between artists from impacted Muslim countries and established talent from the US. Somewherelse’s event production services were the glue of the operation, producing concert series, panels, and more across North America and managing all talent logistics. At the 2018 Cannes Lions, the overarching campaign won Silver for Entertainment in Music, shortlisted for the Titanium Lion, and contributed to the brand being awarded the year’s ‘Top Media Brand’.

Absolut's global brand changed direction to be more purpose-driven in their work. Somewherelse provided the brand with a marketing strategy on how to authentically bring their vision to life in a way that felt important to culture-focused Canadians. Pepsico partnered with Somewherelse to create unique and engaging activation zones for the Canadian launch of LIFEWTR, seamlessly integrating the brand’s story into culturally relevant activations. At TIFF, the activation featured a live mural by NYC artist Jason Woodside, who also designed the limited-edition bottle artwork, offering an interactive and visually striking experience.

SELFRIDGES | PARADISE FOUND

We were approached by UK-based department store Selfridges to produce a virtual event for their annual staff event. The design challenge was to create a fully digital experience that would provide a virtual escape. We designed and produced PARADISE, FOUND: a two-part experience to take Selfridges staff to Paradise, virtually. The event started with a restorative audio-visual meditation journey created by Orly Anan from her studio in Mexico City, and wrapped with a special performance by Allie X from the mountains of Malibu to end on a high note.

We produced an interactive installation to celebrate the launch of lululemon's new footwear line, the Blissfeel sneaker. The goal of the installation was to provide a unique and memorable experience when trying on the sneakers. The LED screen shows hypnotic visuals in response to your unique movements on the platform - leaning, shifting, and balancing.
